We asked our lovely blog readers to tell us what content you’d like to see from CFL this Fall, and one of the most frequent requests was more home decor posts. And we are. HERE. FOR. IT. You don’t have to ask us twice. We are certainly not experts, but home decor is something we definitely geek out about, so we’re super excited to show you how we like to transition home decor from Summer to Fall. Given that it’s still August, we’re not quite ready to break out all the Fall decor. But we’re giving you some simple tips for tastefully transitioning your home decor from Summer to Fall, until it’s time to go Pumpkin-Lady Crazy 😉

Textiles – This is one of the easiest ways to switch things up with home decor! Simple changes like a few new throw pillows and a blanket or two can make a big difference. With Fall in mind, think deep, warm tones and texture. Rusty orange, mustard yellow, cranberry, olive green, deep teal… All are great colors to bring some more depth and Fall moodiness to your home.

Metal accents – I love all things brass, copper, and rose gold! Fall is the perfect time to incorporate these metals into your home. Think candlestick holders, trays, light fixtures, wall hooks, and other accent decor pieces.

Lighting – This can be as simple as lighting a few candles to get the cozy, moody vibes going. We may be biased, but we’ve got some pretty fantastic Fall candles to choose from in our collection here 😉 Another idea is adding some lanterns to your front porch or entryway. Lanterns always make me think of Fall and I love that they serve as both functional and decorative pieces.

Florals – Add the colors of Fall to your decor with a floral arrangment! Grab some deep, colorful fresh blooms, or even put your own faux floral bouquet together! If DIY isn’t your jam, check out another one of our fav small biz ladies, Stephanie, at Lorraine’s Cottage. Her Fall Collection just dropped and she makes the most stunning faux floral arrangements, garlands, and wreaths. Shop her collection and add a touch of Fall to your decor with one of her creations!

We hope this helps you get started as you transition your home decor from Summer to Fall! We have several Fall posts and DIYs up our sleeves, and we’re so excited to share them with you! It’s almost time to get Pumpkin Lady-Crazy, and we can’t wait!
