Summer is here and it’s the perfect time to get through that stack of books you’ve had on your nightstand for months… Not like I know from experience or anything 😉 I don’t know about you, but I’m trying to be more mindful with how I spend my downtime this Summer. It’s so easy and tempting to just numb my brain with Netflix, and sometimes that’s what I need after a long, hectic day. But other times, it’s nice to sit on the patio or in a comfy chair with a good book! We’ve put together a list of a variety of books you might enjoy this Summer! We highly recommend them all!

  1. Where the Crawdads Sing – a murder-mystery novel involving a young girl who has grown up learning to survive on her own and fend for herself
  2. All We Ever Wanted – an emotional, thought-provoking novel following a family’s journey as they navigate wealth, privilege, and scandal
  3. Of Mess and Moxie – a commical, witty collection of real-life stories by Jen Hatmaker, inspiring women to face life’s good times and bad times with “moxie”
  4. The Great Alone – a drama-novel about a military family trying to start a new life together in Alaska after the Vietnam War, where they experience love and loss, and eventually fight to survive
  5. My Husband’s Wife – a suspenseful thriller novel about a young lawyer with a past, who finds herself strongly drawn to her client—a man accused of murder
  6. Present Over Perfect – Shauna Niequist’s personal story and journey, inspiring readers to live an engaged life of rest and grace, rather than being consumed by busyness and perfectionism

  8. Talking As Fast As I can – a compelling memoir by Lauren Graham (of Gilmore Girls and Parenthood), sharing the journey of her life and career as an actress
